The Worrigee Fifth Wheeler has been developed primarily as a 2-5 berth caravan for those undertaking the "Big One" the around Australia trip.

    In designing the Ultimate Tourer the attributes of towing stability, vehicle strength and spacious high-class accommodation were paramount in the finished vehicle.

    The Worrigee has been professionally designed using all the modern tools of the designer. Although CAD, FEA, Materials Engineering and Value Engineering have all featured heavily in the development of our unique product, the overriding concept of functional design prevailed. From our integral chassis/frame to the vinyl wall coverings, each aspect has been carefully considered and developed to provide the most functional features to our unique vehicle.

    Superb road holding and stability are attributes renown of the Fifth Wheel Caravan. When these unique attributes are combined with our automotive standard independent suspension, the overall result is one of unsurpassed stability, free from pitch and sway. The Worrigee is completely 'dead' in tow, in that there is no reaction from the towed vehicle except an occasional hill may remind you that you are actually towing a caravan.

    Our unique integral chassis/frame has been designed and developed to provide a vehicle frame system that although being lightweight, is extremely strong. The design psychology employed -  functional design, maximum strength, minimum weight. This framing system also providing a very effective securing point for all cabinetwork and fittings.

    Styling has been a strong consideration in the development of our 'Worrigee' fifth wheeler. To provide the "slipperiest" airflow when towing we have tapered the front of the caravan both in and down whilst still retaining the functional effectiveness of the interior space. The frontal width of the caravan is similar to that of the towing vehicle cab, and the height of the vertical front wall is only marginally above the top of the cab. The overall effect is not only to enhance vehicle appearance, but to streamline the airflow over the top of the caravan. The front of the caravan is dedicated to the width of a full double bed and the angulation on the upper roof is such that you wont hit your head on the ceiling when sitting up in bed.

     The value of functional design is most clearly seen in the interior layout of the caravan. The best points of many of our custom caravans have been utilised in producing the ideal layout that we have adopted for the 'Worrigee'. The interior appointment is uncluttered, but no space is wasted. Every feature may be accessed with ease yet there is a specific use of each and every area. A feature of this is the private change area in the front of the caravan. The styling criteria is again reflected in the interior. Vinyl cladding has been utilised to not only provide a durable, easy clean surface, but to allow modern round corner cabinetwork to be featured. Interior cladding is complimented by door and benchtop edgings, together with window pelmets being of lacquered timber. The overall effect is enhanced by a deep cushion fabric upholstery to the modern club lounge and divan and vinyl floorcoverings to the living area. Carpet is used to cover the bedroom area floor and the stairway treads. Laminated benchtops with the latest European kitchen appliances will allow the chef to excel, with the leftovers being easily stored in the large 3-way refrigerator.
 
 

    The Ultimate Tourer is the result of combining the best in many design disciplines. the benefit to the touring fraternity is not only a touring vehicle that provides the utmost in safety, comfort and styling, but is a Knudsen product.
