SAND DUNES
Just a few  hundred metres up the beach from North Bendalong is one of the most classic of sand dune arrangements, all in just 80 metres from the high tide mark.
Students are encouraged to look at the changing chemical and physical conditions as the biological structure changes from the water mark to the climax forest behind the dunes.
There are great examples of  spinifex, pig face, coastal wattle, lomandra, coastal ti tree, coastal banksia and eucalypt (with an understorey of blueberry ash).
