| The catch-phrase these days is ecotourism. Nerringillah educates students about ecology and the environment during school terms but those ideals do not take a breather during vacations. |
| Nerringillah is available for groups and families during school vacations and weekends for those looking for something different. Be a biologist for a day (or two) as you survey the stream for macro-invertebrates, collect and sample bush foods or go spotlighting for nocturnal creatures in the rainforest or just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. |
| Nerringillah Ecology Centre has been established to allow people to appreciate the surrounding natural beauty of the south coast. |
|
|
| One of the many beauties of staying at Nerringillah is that your group will be the only one staying, so you don't have to worry about other campers disturbing you or vice versa. |
| Being buried within the Greater Conjola National Park and near to the Cudmirrah Nature Reserve, wildlife is abundant. It is requested that you do not feed the wildlife at any time. |
| As the centre is so isolated,
power is provided free from the sun. You will experience how green
energy can be employed. With a 6-volt power source there are no power
points so this allows you to forget about the outside rat race with no
T.V., hairdryers, etc. Mobile phones even have trouble in this valley
so the only phone avaliable is in the manager's residence in the case of
an emergency.
People who visit Nerringillah find it a true escape, where they can relax and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. |
