| Nerringillah Ecology Centre is wholly within the Greater Conjola National Park near Bendalong on the beautiful South Coast of New South Wales. The Ecology Centre has been operating for the past fifteen years and is now extremely popular with schools from the Illawarra, South Coast, Sydney and Canberra regions as a location for field work trips for ecology, general biology, geography and for recreational camps. |
| Ecology and tourism inevitably interact and more and more people are becoming aware of the effects of large-scale tourist developments and crowds on our fragile environment. For this reason Nerringillah also caters for families and other groups during school vacations and most weekends for holidays, meetings and conferences. For those looking for something different, down to earth and ecological, why not consider a visit to Nerringillah. |
| The Centre is on private property and is operated by me, Barbara Allsop. I am an accredited teacher with the NSW Department of Education and Training. I accompany each school group for their activities; organise and cook all meals and assist staff in coordinating the field work. |
| I can also organise activities or provide guidance for other visitors should they so desire. Please feel free to discuss your requirements when you enquire. |
| Teachers
will be pleased to know that only one group is at the Centre at any
time and the relative isolation will enable your students to involve themselves
more fully in their activities.
The same applies to other groups and families, no matter how small. When you book in, you have the place more or less to yourselves. |
