Everything is on a solar powered 12-volt system except for the fridge, stove and hot water, which are on gas.

Nearby 
Spend your days at pristine Bendalong beaches, great for fishing, snorkeling or surfing, or go boating on local lakes. Shop at historic Milton, mountain bike on the forestry roads or just read a book! You don't have to see anyone or do anything for your whole stay if you don't want to! 

Flatrock Beach, a little crescent shaped cove that looks irresistible - aqua water sparkling and fine white sand. The rock formation at the left end of the beach offers fossil spotting and gem like rock pools. 
  
Washerwoman's Beach, perfect for young children with its sweeping golden bay protected from the bigger swells. 
  
Walk or drive to Monument Beach and lake and see the stone cairn in remembrance to the wreck of the Walter Hood.  

General stores situated in both Bendalong and Cunjorong will supply almost everything you need, including wine and videos. Supermarkets are in Nowra, Ulladulla and Milton.

Situated in the Greater Conjola National Park, 3 hours drive south of Sydney on the coast. Turn off from the Princes Highway towards Bendalong and it is a few minutes left down Nerringillah Road, following signs to Nerringillah Ecology Centre.

Children 
Rapanea Cottage is not really suitable for small children because of the spiral stairway up to the master bedroom and the fireplace has no guard.
